Why look for a Salesloft alternative
Salesloft is one of the two platforms that defined sales engagement, and in my testing its cadence engine, prioritization (Rhythm), and coaching tools are genuinely good for large revenue teams. But the reasons to look elsewhere are concrete. The first is commercial: Salesloft publishes no prices. Everything runs through a sales conversation, annual contracts, invoiced up front and non-refundable per the master agreement in force in early 2026. Buyer-reported costs cluster around $75–$100 per user per month for Essentials, $125–$165 for the Advanced tier most companies actually buy, and higher for Premier, with the dialer often a separate add-on of a few hundred dollars per user per year (sources: aggregated buyer reports from salesgear.io, emelia.io and costbench, checked October 2026). Renewal uplifts of 5–8% are common, and discounts go to whoever negotiates.
The second reason is fit. Salesloft is built for structured outbound at scale; a ten-person sales team often uses a fifth of it. Third, the ground is moving: Salesloft merged with Clari in December 2025, its Drift conversational-marketing product is being retired, and reorganizations like that tend to reshape roadmaps. If you are paying enterprise prices through a transition, you should at least price the market.
A fourth, quieter reason: onboarding. Salesloft implementations typically run weeks, not days, with paid packages scaling by user count. That is fine for a 100-seat rollout with a RevOps owner; it is a lot of machinery for a 12-seat team that mainly wants reps to stop forgetting follow-ups. Over three years I have watched more teams leave Salesloft over adoption than over features — the platform did everything they asked and nobody logged in.
The alternatives compared
I compared these eight on what a ten-seat team pays in year one at time of writing, whether the tool covers your actual motion (prospecting data, sequencing, calling, or CRM), implementation time, and contract flexibility. I weighted fit and total cost over feature count — sales engagement is a category where buyers routinely buy far more platform than they use. Where a vendor keeps prices private, I say so and quote buyer-reported ranges rather than pretending to a list price I cannot verify.
Apollo.io
Apollo.io packages what Salesloft makes you assemble: a contact database, enrichment, email sequences, and a dialer in one product. At time of writing it runs Free (900 credits per year), Basic at $49 per user per month, Professional at $79, and Organization at $119 on annual billing, with credits spent on reveals — one credit per email, eight per phone number. For small and mid-size teams, that combination usually costs less per seat than Salesloft's negotiated floor.
Switch if you need prospecting data plus sequencing and want one published price. Stay if you need Salesloft's coaching depth, deal workflows, or governance — Apollo's engagement layer is good, not enterprise-grade, and data credit math deserves a spreadsheet before you commit.
Clay
Clay is the enrichment and workflow layer that serious outbound teams bolt onto their stack, and it competes with Salesloft only where "engagement" really means "list building". It runs enrichment across 150-plus providers and pushes results anywhere, with pricing at time of writing from Free up to Launch at $185 per month and Growth at $495 per month, metered in actions and data credits with unlimited seats.
Switch if your Salesloft pain is really data quality and account research. Stay if reps need governed cadences, call recording, or deal management — Clay executes nothing itself. In my testing the teams happiest with Clay kept their engagement platform and cut their data vendor instead.
GoHighLevel
GoHighLevel is a flat-fee, unlimited-user platform — $97 Starter, $297 Unlimited, $497 SaaS Pro per month at time of writing — bundling CRM, funnels, email/SMS campaigns, calendars, and call tracking. Against Salesloft's per-seat economics it looks almost free, and for agencies and small businesses running high-volume lead handling, that comparison holds.
Switch if you are an agency or a small business, and your "sales engagement" need is really marketing automation plus follow-up at volume. Stay if you run structured enterprise outbound — cadence governance, conversation intelligence, and forecast-grade reporting are not GoHighLevel's game, and its SMS and voice usage costs need modelling on top of the platform fee.
Close
Close is the inside-sales CRM I point small teams to when the phone is the motion: built-in power dialer, SMS, call recording, and a unified inbox with almost no admin overhead. At time of writing plans run Solo at $9 (single user, annual) through Essentials $35, Growth $99 and Scale $139 per user per month, with telephony usage billed separately via credits.
Switch if your team is one to ten reps doing high-volume calling and email, and Salesloft is mostly an expensive activity log for you. Stay if you need multi-channel cadence governance, manager coaching workflows, or deep forecasting — Close is fast and focused, and deliberately not an enterprise engagement suite.
Freshsales
Freshsales brings CRM, built-in phone, email, chat, and — from its Pro tier — sales sequences, at pricing that makes Salesloft's floor look heavy: $9 (Growth), $39 (Pro) and $59 (Enterprise) per user per month billed annually at time of writing, with AI features metered separately. For teams that want one CRM that also does light engagement, it is the pragmatic middle.
Switch if you want engagement features inside your CRM rather than a second platform, at a fraction of the cost. Stay if you live on cadence analytics and coaching — Freshsales sequences cover the basics, but the reporting and workflow depth of a dedicated engagement platform are absent.
noCRM.io
noCRM.io flips the model: instead of a contact database with activities bolted on, it is a lead follow-up system built around next actions. At time of writing it lists roughly €12 (Starter), €20 (Expert) and €32 (Dream Team) per user per month billed annually, with a USD free tier and per-seat plans; every user must sit on the same plan. It suits small outbound teams who want structure without CRM ceremony.
Switch if you are a small team drowning in Salesloft's process and mainly need disciplined follow-up. Stay if you want reporting, forecasting, or complex cadence design — noCRM.io is intentionally narrow, and its name is honest about what it refuses to be.
Outreach
Outreach is the like-for-like comparison: the other heavyweight in sales engagement, now selling its Amplify tiers (Core, Plus, Pro) on quote-only annual contracts that buyer reports put at roughly $100–$160 per user per month at time of writing, plus platform fees and implementations that can reach five figures. Both platforms are excellent and both are enterprise sales processes to buy.
Switch if you prefer Outreach's deal and forecasting modules, its ecosystem, or simply got materially better commercial terms in your negotiation. Stay if Salesloft's cadence UX suits your team better — in head-to-head trials I have seen preference split by workflow habit more than by feature gaps.
Drift
Drift, the conversational marketing platform Salesloft acquired in 2024, appears on older alternative lists — but I cannot recommend it as a switch today. Following the Clari–Salesloft merger, the companies announced Drift's gradual sunset in March 2026, with existing customers referred to 1mind as successor and the chat widget scheduled to stop working after 31 January 2027. Drift is no longer sold as a standalone product.
Switch if — nothing here; if you are evaluating Drift for website chat, evaluate 1mind or another live-chat tool instead. Stay if you are an existing Drift customer planning migration: the sunset timeline is the deadline that matters, and it is worth confirming directly in Salesloft's Drift Sunset FAQ.
How to choose
Match the tool to the motion and the headcount. Small inside-sales team on the phone: Close. CRM plus light engagement at low cost: Freshsales. Prospecting data plus sequencing in one: Apollo.io. Data-quality problem mislabelled as an engagement problem: Clay. Agency or SMB volume lead handling: GoHighLevel. Disciplined follow-up without CRM weight: noCRM.io. Enterprise engagement with deal intelligence: Outreach or stay with Salesloft — and run a real negotiation on both, because list price in this category is fiction.
FAQ
What is the cheapest Salesloft alternative? Per published prices at time of writing, Freshsales Growth at $9 per user per month or noCRM.io from about €12 per user per month are the lowest entries — but they solve simpler problems. Among direct engagement competitors, Apollo.io Basic at $49 per user per month is the cheapest published price.
Why is Salesloft pricing not public? Enterprise sales engagement is sold through negotiated annual contracts, priced by seat count, tier, add-ons (dialer, conversation intelligence), and term. Treat any number you read — including mine — as a benchmark to negotiate against, not a quote.
Should I switch because of the Clari merger? Not by itself. Mergers change roadmaps and support, but the product is still sold and supported. The concrete deadline in this ecosystem is Drift's sunset; for Salesloft itself, raise roadmap commitments at renewal and let the market's quotes tell you whether your terms still make sense.

Navigating the world of customer relationships becomes a lot simpler with Zoho CRM. It's a fantastic fit for small to medium businesses aiming to streamline their sales processes because it centralizes lead tracking, task automation, and data analysis. Although the interface might feel a bit daunting initially, mastering it is as rewarding as successfully tackling a complex DIY project. Plus, its automation capabilities save time, acting like a tireless personal assistant.
Sales Execution
Outreach is like having a personal sales coach who never sleeps. It’s designed for revenue teams who need to forecast, coach, close deals, and expand accounts all in one place. Think of it as your command center for all things sales — no more juggling apps like they're flaming swords. The platform leverages Agentic AI to give you insights and automate tedious tasks, so you can focus on what really matters: closing deals. Got a team that needs to stay on top of their game? Outreach helps with automated coaching, and the forecasting feature is a lifesaver when you’re trying to predict the unpredictable. Pricing isn’t one-size-fits-all; you’ll need to request a demo to get the specifics. But if my experience with similar tools is any guide, it's an investment that'll pay off. Especially when the competition feels like a wild west shootout, and you need a trusty sidekick by your side.

Navigating customer interactions with GoSquared CRM feels like having a personalized guide to understanding your leads. I especially appreciate how it caters to small businesses and startups that need clear, real-time data without the headache of complex systems. This platform offers a wealth of resources, from lead generation to in-depth market intelligence, crucial for any team aiming to sharpen its strategy. With its AI-driven capabilities, you're not casting a wide net but engaging in precise prospect targeting, much like the approach I appreciated when developing MapsLeadEngine. Though it's not the cheapest option, the rich dataset it provides makes it a worthwhile investment for those serious about their outreach.
Marketing Automation
Freshmarketer brings all your marketing efforts under one roof, making it a breeze to boost engagement across channels like email, SMS, and WhatsApp. During my time with SaaS projects, I discovered how crucial it is to consolidate marketing tools, and Freshmarketer delivers on that front beautifully. It's ideal for small to medium-sized businesses seeking a comprehensive marketing solution, with features like marketing automation and CRM integration. Plus, the free tier is a delightful bonus for newcomers. However, if extensive customization is what you're after, this might not fully satisfy your needs.
B2B Marketing
Imagine having a reliable co-pilot for your marketing campaigns; that’s Salesforce Pardot for you. It efficiently manages lead generation, email campaigns, and ROI analytics, allowing your team to concentrate on crafting high-impact strategies. When I first delved into SaaS development, the ability to automate mundane tasks felt revolutionary, akin to finally getting a dishwasher after years of hand-washing dishes. Pardot excels with features like lead scoring, nurturing, and advanced analytics. While it requires an initial learning curve and isn’t the most budget-friendly, for those entrenched in B2B marketing, it can be a game-changer worth the investment.
